How to measure yourself

You will need a soft tape measure. Measure over light clothing, not over a jacket or thick jumper.

Bust — wrap the tape around the fullest part of your chest and round to the nearest whole number.

Waist — start at the top of your hip bone and wrap the tape around your waist at navel level. Keep it level with the floor and not too tight, and don't hold your breath.

Hips — stand side-on to a mirror and find the fullest part of your hips. Wrap the tape around that widest point, loose enough that it doesn't press into the skin.

Compare your three measurements to the chart and choose the size that matches most closely.

If you fall between two sizes

Bodies rarely match one row exactly. Where your measurements land across two sizes, go with the larger of the two — a garment that is slightly roomy can be worn comfortably, while one that is too tight cannot.

Which measurement matters most depends on the garment: for fitted dresses and tops, go by your bust; for trousers, skirts and shorts, go by your waist and hips.

Styles that size differently

If a particular style is sized differently to the chart above, we display that clearly on the product listing itself. Always check the listing for the item you are buying, especially with formal wear, structured pieces and waist trainers, where fit is less forgiving.

Still unsure?

If you have your measurements and are not certain which size to order, contact our support team with the product name or link and your bust, waist and hip measurements, and we will advise on the best size.

If a garment arrives and the fit isn't right, see Returns, Exchanges & Refunds Policy for how to exchange it.
